The terrible thing you will notice when watching movie on your PC is your System's screen go blank after a couple of minutes and windows shows your custom Screensaver. It's a major irritate especially when you are using your PC for your Entertainment purpose, the case will be worse if you are in HTPC system. The One thing you can do is giving a time limit of 9999 Minutes before windows shows it's screen saver using system properties dialog box. Well, this is not the thing am going to show you in this article. Microsoft had given the choice for users to turn off the screensaver when watch movies or videos - Well, it's hidden in the OS - Not behind the Cruel Registry but in the Crazy Policy Editor.
1. Start | Run | Type 'gpedit.msc' or Search for 'Group Policy Editor' in Windows Vista
2. Locate User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Media Player | Playback
3. Double Click on Allow Screensaver and Choose 'Disable'.
