Whenever a process is created in Windows, it is given a certain priority. There might be several processes running on your system which can be viewed in the Processes tab after pressing [Alt] + [Ctrl] + [Del] keys simultaneously. If several processes are running on your system, you can give special priorities depending upon their importance. For example if you select a process and give it a 'High' priority, your CPU would tend to complete the process as soon as possible. You can set different priorities for different processes.
To do so follow the steps below : - Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] and Click on the Task Manager button.
- Click the Processes tab.
- Select an appropriate process.
- Right-Click the selected process, place the mouse pointer over the Set Priority option and select an appropriate priority level from the resulting context menu.
